A differently-abled minor was allegedly raped by her neighbor in the Kulpi police station area when she was alone at home. According to the complaint, her parents were away, and her sister had gone to the bank when the accused, a local man known as her "village uncle," entered the house and sexually assaulted her. The minor’s screams alerted neighbors, who rushed to the spot. One of them climbed the boundary wall and found the girl naked and crying inside, while the accused was still present in the house.
Furious locals caught the accused and severely beat him before informing the police. Upon receiving the information, Kulpi police reached the spot and rescued the accused from the mob. He was taken into custody and later arrested after preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case of rape under relevant sections of the law, and the victim has been sent for medical examination. Authorities are also recording witness statements to proceed with legal action.
